Maaike Dam, violin

Violinist Maaike Dam is a senior at St. Johnsbury Academy, and currently studies with Ira Morris. She enjoys participating in musical activities such as the Vermont Youth Orchestra, All State and New England music festivals, and volunteering at EPIC music through Catamount Arts. During the summers she attended the Boston University Tanglewood Institute for orchestra and Kinhaven music school. Aside from playing violin, Make enjoys exploring in the woods, composing music, and playing piano. Some of her favorites are chamber music pieces by Brahms and symphonies by Mahler.
