Estella Peterson, Clarinet

Estella is a 17-year-old junior at Harwood Union High School. Though she first picked up the clarinet in elementary school band, she truly fell in love with classical clarinet as a seventh grader when she began lessons with Betsy LeBlanc. Estella joined the VYOA at age 13 where she has enjoyed opportunities to play in VYP and VYO, various chamber music ensembles, and participated in the 2023 Greece tour. Additionally, she has participated in the Vermont All-State and New England Music Festivals and is a founding member of the Waterbury branch of Back to Bach.  Beyond the clarinet Estella loves learning and exploring studio arts, and enjoys spending time drawing, painting, sewing clothing, making jewelry, and ceramics. She also enjoys roller skating, hiking, and snowboarding. Estella hopes to study music in addition to her other studies in the future and plans to keep the clarinet in her life for many years to come.
