We need to drum up your support.

We need a better bang (and sound!) from our timpani.  The VP timpani are over 40 years old and are beyond repair, and need to be replaced. A set of high-quality timpani costs about $14,000. A very generous individual has offered to cover one-half of that, but that still leaves $7,000. If you can help us procure these critical instruments, please go to our website and hit the “Donate button or mail a check with "timpani fund" in the memo to Vermont Philharmonic, PO Box 425, Montpelier VT 05601. If paying online, be sure to leave "Add special instructions to the seller" by typing "timpani fund." And thanks!

COVID Policy

For indoor events, masks are recommended for all audience members and for all players who can do so while playing and for wind players while not playing. Wind players are encouraged to use bell covers or other protective gear when practical. Vaccination is required for all players, except those with medical exemptions. For outdoor events, masks are optional.

COVID is again on the rise. Many of our audience and orchestra members are in vulnerable groups. We ask that all audience members and all players who can do so while playing wear masks at the concert. Let’s take home just fond memories of the music!
