Grace Carlomagno is a junior at Montpelier High School, and she has been composing since kindergarten. She's studied composition with Erik Nielsen for three years, and she was mentored additionally by Travis Ramsey on her piece Traffic Lights, first performed at the Elly Long Center in May of 2017 for Music-Comp's Opus 32. Grace's main instruments are the clarinet and the tenor saxophone, which she plays in bands both in and outside of school, in both classical and jazz styles. She wants to thank her mentors and especially her family for supporting her.
